Garden Tapestries: The Photography of Judith Petrovich

Born in Illinois, Ms. Petrovich holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Illinois. She studied at the International Center for Photography from 1978-81. She was photo journalist for The Litchfield County Times newspaper from 1988-2002. Presently, she is a free-lance photographer. Her works have been shown locally in the Washington Art Association, New Arts Gallery 10th Anniversary Show, the Paris-New York-Kent Gallery, and the Minor Memorial Library Gallery.

The works in the show are part of her “Garden Frost Series.” Of this series, Ms. Petrovich says, “If the essence of photography is ‘being there’, this series of images are representative of those early morning moments before the first rays of light melt the delicate edging of frost crystals on my Connecticut garden.”
