April 28 - Feast of St. Louis DeMontfort

Eternal Wisdom brings delight and satisfaction,
  and the wise are filled with joy.
They do not condemn this world,
   but seek to heal it.
Let Eternal Wisdom be your friend...

All Ours

The color photograph of "Earthrise" was taken by Apollo 8 astronaut William A. Anders on December 24, 1968.  The photograph is usually mounted with the moon below the earth, but this is how Anders saw it.

Whatever the angle, the gift is precious and is in our care.

Happy Earth Day, April 22, 2013!

A Provident God

God makes the towns
and stocks the air with birds,
the earth with animals;
God even made the snakes!

Nothing Too Large or Too Small

God takes as much trouble in making a tiny worm as God does in making a big whale; God supports all people and the whole sky, as easily as God supports the smallest of atoms.

~from Hymn #51,
Saint Louis deMontfort, 1673-1716
