A Religion of One’s Own
Best-selling
NY Times author Thomas Moore addresses the possibility of creating a personal
spirituality either within or outside of traditional religious structures on
June 20-22 at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center.
A Jungian psychotherapist, Moore is a sought after speaker and author of numerous popular and spiritual books, including Care of the Soul and its companion volume Soul Mates. This weekend retreat will be partly drawn from his most recent work, A Religion of One’s Own.
The question is where does one’s spirit find fulfillment when the trappings of
contemporary life cannot completely satisfy it and formal religions don’t seem
to address it?

Mary is charitable; let Her open your hand to the poor.
Mary is powerful; let Her protect you.
Mary is trustworthy; let Her lead you.
Mary is forever virgin; let Her make you forever new.
Confide in Her, cleave to Her, rest in Her, And in this
way never be depressed by limits or deceived by enemies, or fall from grace for
She is infinite grace.
