The Governor of Maine, John Baldacci, presents to Daughter of Wisdom Jackie Ayotte the Governor's Volunteer Service Award for Outstanding Public Sector Volunteer. This award was given to Sister Jackie for her work in establishing the Long Lake Public Library in St. Agatha, northern Maine. Sister Jackie started the project in 2006 and raised over $177,000 and worked with many volunteers for this project. In addition, Sister Jackie developed a program through the Library which involves area youth who will assist anyone wishing to become computer literate.
