Ecology and Spirituality Panel : Bee Colony Collapse Disorder

On Saturday, June 1, Wisdom House held its first Ecology and Spirituality program with a panel discussion on the topic of Bee Colony Collapse Disorder. The panel for the program was Alphonse Avitabile, Mother Ozanne Schuman, OSB, and artist Cate Bourke.

Over 55 people attended the conversation, which was followed by the opening of Ms. Bourke's installation piece "Requiem for Being," which is based on the same theme. An observation hive was loaned by John Barker for the day so that guests could see the activity that goes on inside a hive of honey bees. The installation will be in the Marie Louise Trichet Gallery until September 7. Gallery hours are Monday - Saturday 10 am - 4 pm.
